Disability can affect how someone experiences violence. It can make them more vulnerable. It can make it harder for them to get help or stay safe. Understanding how disability affects experiences of violence helps us provide better support for women with disabilities. This means making sure support services are disability aware, easy to use, easy to access, helpful and trauma-informed.
