In Australia, laws give everyone the right to participate fully in their community. These laws say you have a right to be treated well in all areas of your life. It is against the law to discriminate against someone because they have a disability or to limit their access to work and educational opportunities. It is also illegal to hurt someone physically or threaten to hurt them. Suppose you are experiencing any form of discrimination or violence. In that case, there are people you can talk to and places you can go to get help. Everyone has a right to feel safe.
